Toriko blinked, and looked at Salene warily. "...Who are you? What are you doing here?" She glanced around, and when she spotted Itoshiki, she cursed loudly. "Why is he here?"

"My name is Salene, and the reason for being here is you." She glanced at Itoshiki. "He was worried about you and we helped him after hearing a bit more from him."

Charlotte wasn't sure what to make of things, so she remained quite for now and analyzed things. She'd likely have to introduce herself soon anyway, as would Link.

Toriko grunted irritably, forcing herself into a sitting position. "So, you took a sickly man away from the safety of home, to likely get himself killed. Good job."

"Sis... stop it. You can't do this alone and you know it..." Itoshiki sat up slowly as well, groaning in pain. "I wouldn't have stayed behind either. Because of them, I was safer while traveling, so apologize... please..."

"...Fine, I'm sorry."

Salene choose to leave the rude comment alone, though Charlotte used that time to introduce herself. "We'll, now that we're here might as well. I'm Charlotte Aulin and that's Link." She went by Itoshiki helping him to move if need be, she was worried about him. She could heal him, but she couldn't heal his other ailments. "We should get going, I don't want to stay in this spot and find out what else wants to get us."

Link nodded slightly. "Yeah... let's get to that shrine, grab the keystone, and get out of here..." Link pushed himself to his feet, groaning, then sighed. "Alright... I'm good...." At the same time, Toriko was trying to stand, Itoshiki needing help to stand at all.

It seemed Charlotte was correct with her assumption Itoshiki would need help walking. She was worried about another fight with something breaking out. If they ran into another monster that was strong they would be in trouble. As it was, only herself and Salene would be able to put up any sort of fight in their condition.

Link led the way, steadily regaining his bearings. Thankfully, Toriko was the same. Even more thankfully, the valley seemed devoid of life now, and they encountered no resistance on the way to the shrine. THe keystone, as it turned out, was, of all things, half of the triforce emblem. "...Really? Why am I not surprised..."

Charlotte didn't know what to think, but she did remember hearing stories about the 'Triforce' since coming her on her travels. She had to wonder if the Golden Goddesses, if real had purposely left this behind. If so, why was the question. Since there was no way of ever truly knowing the answers to these questions, she guessed it was text book example of a exercise in futility, but her mind ever curious couldn't help it.

Link looked the emblem piece over, then pocketed it. "Well, that's that, I guess... now we have to get out of here, and head for that mountain... Itoshiki, about how long of a trip is it to get there?"

"Um... from here? Um... well, if we push it with horses.... maybe a month? If we travel at a more sane pace, a month or two."

"...Great."

"I'm stuck with you people for that long... swell." Despite the words, Toriko didn't seem all that irritated.

Charlotte cringed the horses comment. Salene noticed a bit.

"Is something wrong Charlotte?" Salene asked the younger woman.

"N-nothing. Just..remembering something."
Charlotte didn't really want to talk about it right now. "Anyway, lets leave. We've been here long enough."

Link just nodded, pocketing the emblem. Travel from there was mostly uneventful. After picking up extra horses in the village from the other day, something they should have done the first time really, their journey went a bit more smoothly. There was, however, an increase in violent activity, both from animals, monsters, and even bandits. Why, was hard to say. Three weeks passed, and the mountain was looming in the distance. Another week to go, according to Itoshiki.

They made camp for the night near a lake; handy, since it was rather hot and humid that night. Link even felt the need to strip down to just his pants, Itoshiki doing the same. Toriko was pretty much fine already in her clothes, and in fact laid close to the fire, sighing softly.

Salene took a spot to relax, she couldn't help but notice Link when his shirt was off but she was trying not to pay attention. She liked Link and was attracted to him but she really didn't think he saw her in that way. So Salene remained silent for now. That and she needed to think about it.

Charlotte on the other hand decided to take a seat Itsoshiki, she rather liked his company. She was humming to herself reading a thick book, of what it was, one couldn't say but the 'pages' seem to transform with the words everytime she went to another page.

Itoshiki, after a moment, found himself looking over Charlotte's shoulder at the book. "That... is a very interesting book. I've never seen anything like that before..."

Charlotte stopped reading for a moment see Itoshiki. She smiled and patted a empty space by her. "Go ahead. I don't bite. The book records different information about the enemies I fought and different magic spells. It was passed down to me when I was young. I was thinking.." She looked at him. "Would you be okay with me teaching you magic? So you don't have to use your own powers as much?"

Itoshiki was clearly surprised, but then smiled. "That... that sounds great. It would be nice to be able to help, without using... that power."

"Especially since using it is killing you faster!" Toriko had shouted at him from the other side of the fire, obviously upset, causing Itoshiki to bow his head a bit.

Charlotte scowled but ignored her otherwise. "We'll start tomorrow, not right now I have a few things to do first before we get started."

Itoshiki nodded more eagerly, smiling softly. Toriko settled down after that, seeming satisfied in some way. So long as Itoshiki wasn't using that power, she was fine. She still was irritated about him coming out here, though.

Charlotte was glad Toriko left it alone after that, or she probably would have said something. For group dynamics she was trying to make things work, so she'd bite her tongue a bit unless something really bugged her.

"Good. In the mean time, I'm going to get some sleep. Good night.." She went over to her own spot and curled up halfway. She found sleep was a bit harder to come to her then she thought..maybe because she had a few things on her mind about a great many of things.

A month passed, and they were finally nearing Mt. Harashka. They had stopped at a nearby village to pick up some heavy coats for the cold climate. Link, however, seemed fine in just his tunic. When asked about it, he'd commented that he'd been up a mountain called Snowpeak, and had been fine. He assumed it was just another magical property of his clothes. Itoshiki and Toriko, however, had needed to layer up for sure. Thankfully, Toriko had also mellowed a bit. She still wasn't happy about Itoshiki putting himself at risk, but she wasn't biting people's heads off, and proved to actually be a rather sweet person for the most part. She'd even apologized to everyone for her rude behavior before, and thanked them for their help.

If Charlotte was honest, she was nervous. It was just some instinct or feeling in the back of her mind telling her something. Ever since she had began life as a hunter, she had learned to follow that feeling. As a skeptical person by nature who wasn't too easily swayed just by feeling, she couldn't deny that there was usually something to it.

But hopefully, this time, she was wrong.

Surprisingly, as they were resting, Itoshiki came and sat down next to Charlotte, looking at her curiously. "Charlotte? Are you alright? You seem... well, worried. You've seemed more and more anxious every day. You've been distracted when teaching me magic, and almost hurt yourself..."

Meanwhile, Link was checking over all of his equipment, as he tended to do, while Toriko was off to the side, training by fighting imaginary opponents.
